Back Yard Braggen’ Rights is always a whirlwind of adventures for me!  Plans and preparations start many days and weeks before and it is such a treat when all that planning falls into place. The day of the event always starts early with set up and food preparations.  Once the smoking teams start showing up our day is set in motion.

May 23rd, 2015....round 4 of Backyard Braggen' Rights kicked off with beautiful weather (seems to be some power in prayer...yes God!). Add a breakfast burrito, that I snagged from the Allred smoker, to the beautiful weather and my day was off to a great start! The music system was easily put together and most of the set up had been accomplished the day before so unlike previous years where we ran around in circles, we were actually able to enjoy the beginning of the day and enjoy the calm before the storm AKA lunch hour.

 Backyard Braggen Rights is always a fun experience for me and this time was no different. I worked the sign-in table 90% of the day, since I was not able to walk around due to injuring my leg. This also allowed me to converse with people I knew.

Saturday we had our debut in Monroe City at C & R Market.  It was a great pleasure to demo in this store managed by Bob Brummer. We appreciated the atmosphere in the store from the moment we walked through the doors, Donna at the front greeted us with a warm welcome.

Papa Rock Bar-B-Que debuted our sauces at C & R Market in Macon MO.  Our sauces are now available on the shelves in the BBQ sauce aisle.

It was great to meet all the staff at C & R Macon and all the customers who stopped by to give our sauces a try.

Thanks to Randy Farmer for hosting this demo. We are excited about the opportunity to have our sauces available at C & R Market in Macon!!

Despite the blustery conditions, Papa Rock Bar-B-Que restocked the shelves at Prenger Foods in Macon MO.

All four of our sauces are now available on the BBQ Sauce aisle.  Stop on by and pick up your favorite!

We will be featuring our sauces and gift baskets at the Clarence February Expo in Clarence MO.  

This event will be held at the Clarence VFW Hall from 9:00-4:00 pm.

We will be serving up free samples of our four sauces on pulled pork!

Our sauces are now available in Macon MO at Prenger Foods.

A big thank you to the managers George and Alli for allowing us to demo at their store.  We enjoyed meeting all the Macon folks.  

It was the first time we have ever had our demo broadcasted over the loud speakers in the store.  Hope to see you again soon.

We are by the meat department now and check it out... NEW SIGNAGE!!!

Very happy with the way the sign turned out. Just need to paint those clothespins holding the sign at the top :)

That's my girl... she sure looks happy! Might get her a new sign every week...

Love me some pork steaks... Seasoned the steaks when they hit the grill with salt, pepper, and some garlic powder.

When the steaks were cooked, I put just a bit of sauce on each side... let that small amount of sauce cook down some.. it will get real sticky, then I slather them up real good on all that stickiness.

BBD's and pork loin turned out geat.  A little time on the Weber with a small piece of cherry wood and we even got a little bit of smoke ring!
